    Tie dye is fun. After they are dyed, they need to set. After they are set -24 hours or so, rinse them in cool water with the rubber bands still on. Some directions say to rinse again in lukewarm water before washing in the machine in cool water, and again some directions say again in warm water, then dry. You need to wash and dry each shirt by itself the first time. After that it can be washed with the rest of the laundry.
